13th Annual Facing Race Conference

Empower the Dialogue: Claiming Our Voice, Uniting Our Community

Santa Barbara, CA – The University of California, Santa Barbara Associated Students’ Student Commission on Racial Equality (SCORE) presents the 13th Annual Facing Race Conference. This year’s theme is “Empower the Dialogue: Claiming Our Voice, Uniting Our Community”. The conference will be held Saturday, March 3rd from 8:30am to 8:00pm.

The annual conference aims to bring over 100 UCSB, SBCC, and community high school students to UCSB to promote discussion, critical thought, and progressive action in the educational system and beyond. Held in several parts of the Associated Students Administration/MultiCultural Center building, SCORE and other student organizations will hold workshops, give presentations, and offer caucus spaces to present a safe environment for analysis of cultural and social constructions that affect students of color.

For information on how to register or get involved please visit our website, http://score.as.ucsb.edu/ or email Megan Foronda or Stacie Taniguchi.
